The church of Archangel Gabriel in Glasgow has become a very precious part of my life and I want to help it grow and flourish. It’s a place where everyone is welcomed, where they always serve others with joy and approach everything with a desire to provide help and support with love and faith. This church always gives people hope by seeing in them the very best, which they may not even see themselves. Of course, it is also a community in which people can pray together, serve the Lord together and help each other. The parish is constantly growing; new people appear and join with completely different backgrounds, beliefs, faiths, nationalities and social standings from all over the world. It does not matter who you are or where you are from, in this Parish a person feels that they are welcome and accepted. As we would like to keep growing to expand our ability to help more people, the dream has now become to be able to move into a larger space, where we will be able to continue our ministry.
Thanks to this community, I was able to rediscover the Orthodox Church for myself and with it, find myself a home in Christianity. Due to the pandemic, I can’t visit Scotland and see my friends like I normally would, but this is an opportunity for me to take part in the virtual kilt walk and support our parish from abroad. Even though we cannot walk together this year in person, we can walk together virtually with the Saints who are always with us and rediscover the Christian history of these lands. Join me this Kiltwalk as we take a trip through sketches with the Celtic Saints to their Holy places.
Every donation is very much appreciated, thank you!
